Marie Romero Cash is the daughter of the late Emilio and Senaida Romero, traditional tinsmiths whose innovative works earned them numerous awards.

Marie's uplifting works of Santero art grace the Vatican, St. Francis Cathedral, Santa Fe, NM, Columbkille's Church in Los Angeles, CA, Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Arroyo Seco, NM, St Mary's Church, Ojo Caliente, NM, and New Mexico Archbishop Michael Sheehan's chapel, NM, as well as museums and private collections, just to name a few.

An award winning Santero, she has received many awards in Spanish Market, Santa Fe, NM. She has been honored by the National Endowment for the Arts, the New Mexico Endowment for the Humanities and Women in the Arts. An avid writer and historian, Marie has published several books about Northern New Mexican Santos, churches and women's shrines.
