Fred Bowannie is a talented and innovative Zuni Fetish carver, who uses Zuni Rock to carve powerful yet delicate Zuni bear fetishes. Fred's cousins are the Panteah fetish carvers, and father, Fred Bowannie Sr., was a famous Zuni Silversmith and the Govenor of Zuni in the middle 1960s.
