Andres Quandelacy

Andres Quandelacy is the most prolific of the large Quandelacy carving family. When not working at cattle ranching, he is always seen at his carving bench. Andres carves very sleek mountain lions, bears (some with finely-incised fur), realistic horses and numerous other beautiful creatures. Most have heart lines on only one side of the fetish. Fred Bowannie is a talented and innovative Zuni Fetish carver, who uses Zuni Rock to carve powerful yet delicate Zuni bear fetishes.  Fred's cousins are the Panteah fetish carvers, and father, Fred Bowannie Sr., was a famous Zuni Silversmith and the Govenor of Zuni in the middle 1960s.
